Here's some high poly gothic plate I've been working on.

I'll have a go at using it as a normal map for a M&B model after its done.

Very delicate. It is hard to see what is model and what is normal mapping/displacement texture. Wireframe?

You could also take a render to texture with some suitable program (3ds Max) with a good metal texture. Could do wonders.

It's all model at the moment. I'll also have a look into rendering to texture, as my texturing isn't particularly good.

I know you must be sick to death of these by now, but anyway, my first mace!

It is a two handed weapon that uses native textures so the head is quite blurred.

 I started practice my demon making on the M&B head. What I used was Blender`s sculpting mode (which by the way is awesome!!) where I laid a Subsurf modifier upon to get it high-poly as here plus some materials (just Blender, no UV). I just thought it looked badass in the end, at least from this angle  :P

Ah you`re right. I hope this is better, but maybe it`s not. It has to be dark to look right  :P

Looks good Scion... whats with the left horn though?  Also, I would suggest tweaking the chin a bit (pull it back a little and make it less pointy at the front).

BTW, here is the latest model I've done during my coding break (still a bit of work to do to finish it off)

Nice texture. I hope you actually intended her to look like she has giant inflatable boobs and a cameltoe.

If it was a model of a stripper with a "gun" (phallic object), I'd give it A+++.

If it was actually supposed to be a soldier, I'd say B-.

Heh, the reality is that sex sells...

Some people won't like it of course, but I like to stick roughly to the concept, and the concept has even larger proportions... Anyway, its a WIP, so I might tone them down a bit... we'll see ;)

It can be hard to strike a balance. The combat suit of Kusanagi in Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is very similar to your design and yet doesn't shout "Skank!" as much. She's also got huge breasts but they're not highlighted with huge LOOK HERE colors and lines.

Of course her other outfit (the white corset with wedgie-thong) is total fan-service and even skankier than the one you've got.
