Scion, I meant opening the .X file with Wings then converting it to SMD, I know Wings doesn't support Animations. I meant this solely for static models

Wings can't import .X files nor export .smd files

Hi Reaper,

I'll add it so that blender has animation support. I must have missed that.

I'm aware of softimage XSI but as far as I knew no one in the community used it so i figured there wasn't that much need for a page for it. Does it export to .obj otherwise I'm not sure if its really worth adding.

There is a plugin somewhere, but I lost the link ages ago. I'll try to dig it up, though.

I downloaded it, it will import .obj (among many others) and with the Valve Source Plugin it will import and export the .smd format(thankfully when Valve created the Source Engine for Half Life 2 they didn't change the 3d file format), so you reallly wouldn't have a need to export to .obj
