Nice models! Keep it up. Chilly, the texture on the sock is marvelous :O
Thanks, but really I dont have very much credit on the texture, I just mapped the UV to an image...

Hussey- Heh, I'm still alive, got a little carried away with HL2 and EB....and life. You wont mind if I just map the model right on those pictures do you? (i may need to enhance it a little here and there, I'll try it and see what it looks like)

Sure that's fine, although yes they may need a wee bit of enhancing as they look a bit pixelated.

Hrmm... whats with the Marines having black trousers? I'm not too sure about the marines before they had their own uniform o' course.

The shako's all seem oversized... I have no idea why, but whenever translated to video game format, Shako's always look far more ridiculous than they do in real life.

And we want ingame shots of alllll the uniforms, preferably shooting at each other :p

Hmm, this one looks fine, speaking as someone that has a replica of it.

I told you, no in game shots until there are complete kit sets, that includes weapons  :P

EDIT:
And marines did wear black trousers (after 1802 I believe) So there will be a transition from the open chested marine jacket that you made, with white breaches, to the closed jacket (infantry pattern) with black trousers.

EDIT2:
Ursca has finished the light cavalry boots, they look really good. One more off the list  :D

OK, I had a whack at texturing the heavy cav sabre, It's not great but unless someone else wants to texture it it'll do until someone gets round to redoing it.

It's allright Josh, I only have complex jobs left.

I had a whack at a closed frock coat, basically it's just the sepoy uniform recoloured with all the straps, epaulettes etc ripped off of it.

It actually is quite similar in style to the coats Wellington often wore.

Thanks Messenger,

The Duke often wore a blue frock coat to Battle, rather than the standard red officer's shell jacket.

Well yes. I believe that it's more of a frock coat.

Been doing a bit of research on the marine uniform.. I have to say the black trousers were apparently for officers only, the rest wore pretty much standard army uniform.. until they became the ROYAL marines, after which they wore a uniform modeled on the first regiment of foot (the familiar open jacketed version I first skinned.. seen in Hornblower and such)

Hrmmmm, I misread the date on the pic

I'm not sure what you meant by saying they went back to the open jacket design though, that was earlier I'm pretty damn sure on that.
