Wow, nice one.

Though I'm kinda wondering about these:

Quote
Ajarine Youth
-->Ajarine Squire
-->-->Ajarine Knight
-->-->-->Veteran Ajarine Knight
-->-->-->-->Ajarine Paladin
-->-->-->-->-->Ajarine General
-->-->Ajarine Scount
-->-->-->Veteran Ajarine Scount
-->-->-->-->Elite Ajarine Scount
-->-->-->-->Ayrunine Paladin
-->Ajarine Skirmisher
-->-->Mounted Archer
-->-->-->Veteran Mounted Archer
-->-->-->-->Elite Mounted Archer
-->-->-->-->Kobulais Paladin

Is it really an Ayrunine Paladin? isn't it Ajarine? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Oh and also, use spelled scout wrong, just thought I'd give you a heads-up

Also

Can anyone get Lunnic, Sivaic and Aimarine? Just in case someone wants to join those factions.

Ah, I should've posted that; sorry to have put you through all that work, Satyr. (This is getting stickied, of course. :))

There's a bit of a typo with "Ajarine Scout," but yes, they do upgrade to their own variety of paladin at the top tier -- Ayrunine Paladins are weaker than the normal Ajarine, but have tracking/pathfinding/spotting skill. I don't know whether that helps the player's party, but I'm pretty sure it's useful for NPCs...

 Fish speaker, seriously? Is this mod translated from another language? I haven't had a chance to play it yet but I don't think I'd make that last upgrade if they were called Fish Speaker.

What exactly are the dancers for? i mean are they just warriros or do they serve some kind sof purpose?

P.S. the fish speakers just annoy the hell outta me.

P.S.S. Good job with everything else :D

SlightFeelingOfRegret,

I take it you're not that familiar with the Dune universe. :)

atilladahun,

I don't think the dancers are working quite as intended. They have a lot of extra-combat skills, and were intended to be 'utility' fighters rather along the lines of the extremely useful dancers of FE4, but it kind of hasn't worked very well...

With Fish Speakers annoying the heck out of you, do you mean the name, or the combatants, or both? :)

Here are the other Tier trees, which should now cover all troop types, at least until ex_ottoyuhr decides to change something.

Young Priest
-->Priest
-->-->Experienced Priest

Galine Youth
-->Mercenary Squire
-->-->Mercenary
-->-->-->Galine Knight
-->-->-->-->Galine Paladin
-->-->-->-->-->Galine General
-->-->Galine Scout
-->-->-->Veteran Galine Scout
-->-->-->-->Elite Galine Scout
-->Infantry Squire
-->-->Galine Infantryman
-->-->-->Elite Galine Infantryman

Siavic Youth
-->Siavic Squire
-->-->Siavic Knight
-->-->-->Veteran Siavic Knight
-->-->-->-->Siavic Paladin
-->-->-->-->-->Siavic General
-->-->-->Veteran Raplan Knight (etc)
-->-->Raplan Knight
-->-->-->Veteran Raplan Knight
-->-->-->-->Raplan Paladin
-->-->-->Veteran Siavic Knight (etc)

Lunnic Youth
-->Lunnic Squire
-->-->Lunnic Knight
-->-->-->Veteran Lunnic Knight
-->-->-->-->Lunnic Paladin
-->-->-->-->-->Lunnic General
-->-->-->-->Kinunnin Paladin

A couple of minor corrections to Satyr's list:  Veteran Ajarine Knights can also upgrade to Chanurin Mujahidin, and Mounted Huntress is an upgrade from Huntress, not Experienced Huntress.

I really should've posted this myself. My apologies -- and please, everyone, don't do 'capsule' descriptions of the troop types. I can at least do that much, and make up that far for my slowness with all this...

Sorry I haven't been playing ASLOW.

Thanks Hardrada.

Don't worry about it ex_otto.

Ex_o: the problem with dancers is that only heroes can contribute party skills, and even they do not get any use out of non-party non-combat skills--although you could code in situations where they do. So that, at the end of the day, dancers are just a useless upgrade line, especially since they never get any good equipment, which is actually more important than levesl in M&B.

Well, you COULD make dancers heroes. :P

Nope. Can't have multiple instances of the same hero, or else Bad Things TM will happen.

There are other ways, though.  They can't contribute party skills directly but you could readily write code to count dancers and raise the player's skills accordingly, for instance.  (Or that of the most skilled hero in the party, or whatever.)  Not hard at all.

True--there'd be some caveats, for instance because increasing a skill by more than ten is another recipe for the Bad Things TM, but it's entirely possible. Another approach would be to give dancers a special dialogue where they can do things for you which are impossible without having dancers. I'm sure we can trust Ex_ottoyuhr to make dancers useful in future versions; I was just pointing out they are useless now.
