2.  Dwarf mattocks.  One handed polearms?  Oversight or work around for the screwy way AI troops are armed?

Probably a mistake in the weapon flags.

I have a question for the coders as well - is there any other file, except item_modifiers, which modifies the prices of the diff kinds of the equipment conditions? I've searched all the files, but couldn't find anything except this 1, but the changes made in it are not working.....Tried to start a new game after I restart M&B, so it can load all files a new, but to no avail.
Also have you changed the modifiers there, or used "vanilla"M&B ones, as I find it strange to see for ex. Cracked 0.8?

EDIT: Found the problem. It seems the game is reading the file in M&B/Data dir, and not the one in the M&B/Modules/TLD/Data dir.

This is incorrect, the Iron Launcher copies the item_modifiers.txt as well.
As we have changed the modifiers, it has to work, otherwise the modifiers wouldn't show ingame. Which they do.

3 questions (and also sorry for posting a new thread a few days ago)

1: Is it possible and ok to edit troops gear or are they hard coded to only use what they are ment to (I know it does not really fit lore, and the obvious meshes that are different would / does not work dwarf armor - on a man etc...)

2: Another troop edit question, is it possible to make some Human and or Elf into females or are they again hard coded or something?

3: Is there a thread or anything that has all the easter Eggs, saw the one thta listed a couple and hinted at a couple, but that is all.

Do not plan to do any of this until next playthrough, but do wish to if posible because it just what I do to all MnB mods I play (I already have the simple troop edit tool, and have used it in other mods) to make the next playthroughs more interesting, and knowing all easter eggs, is just because I kind of hate looking for them in MnB mods, and just want to make sure I get to enjoy everything that was so fantasticly put in the game.

, but the prices in all my games were always regulated with the above 2(identical)ones. After I changed the 1 in TLD/Data nothing happened - copied the same numbers in the M&B/Data one and everything is OK now.
Probably the stats are only working for those who manualy copied the files and don't use IL.

There are a lot of these like 'Deadly' 'Poor' 'Well Made' which I have seen in item editor, but never in-game, vanilla or TLD.
The engine seems to be hiding something? lol

Where are the 'buff/debuff' of these item modifiers, may I ask also?

forgot to ask 1 other question,
Isengard (and all the evils) do have supply "wagons" right?? --> got a mission to take down 3 isengard ones, but after a very short while of looking (Isengard is dominating Rohan and has superior numbers which makes sense and is cool, but makes raiding them nearly impossible lol) any who I did the Ctrl T to see everything waited a few days and never saw anything with the word supply or that particulary looked like one..

I assume they do as even they need them, and have read posts that said something about them, but unrelated and barely said anything.

faction strengths?
« Reply #340 on: March 09, 2012, 08:00:51 PM »
First of all, let me say I think this mod is fantastic, and I can't imagine playing M&B without it. I did have one question that I was hesitant to ask about at first, but after taking a few steps to verify I think I may be doing something wrong.

The mod runs fine for me, without hardly any crashes except during huge battles, but mechanics-wise something seems off about faction strengths. I never seem to be able to coax the strength of a faction down below ~2500, despite aggressively camping and destroying every party and general who pops up. For instance, I camped around Beornings for about sixty days, they started around 2500 and they ended there, despite whacking both generals repeatedly and beating every woodsmen scout party to leave their cities. I decided to test this issue with cheats in a new game, and used truesight to find and defeat every party in gondor and rohan for a while, and again they hovered around 2500. The AI besieged Cair Andros and the three minor Rohan villages but they wouldn't attack anything else, and I've read on here that they're only attacked when the strength goes below 2000.

My question is, am I doing something wrong? Does it just take patience? Waiting seems to make the faction strength rise, it seems to regenerate over time, and the only thing I've read on here about how to drop it is grinding parties away, which I'm doing.

I realize this is probably an issue you guys are working on, and I don't want to seem demanding or anything, but it sounds like people have managed to drop factions down close to zero from what I've read. Do I have to use some kind of console command to do that in this version?

^ You might be playing the older version which has faster strength regen. How much do they regen per day if there is no combat?

I'm not sure exactly how much, but I am playing the game on version 3.1. I have not installed the most recent hotfix but I'm going to do that now, though I don't think it does anything regarding faction strength.

Are the Olog-hai trolls included in the game?
They're in the troops file, but not in the parties or anywhere else and I haven't seen 1 at all.....

oath of vengeance
« Reply #344 on: March 11, 2012, 11:22:36 AM »
How to fully finish the quest? I have completed the quest and the system also reminded me so. But on the quest list the mission is still there, it says I have to talk to myself to get the reward...
BTW, what is the reward? Just the trait "oath keeper"?
