I've been learning to model for some time and here is a kitchen.

Edit: Please navigate the album for another (better) angle.

I know it is not to good, but I want to improve it, any advice?

Also, I'd like to know how many polys can I use for it.

Thanks

PD Forgot to say, the model is based on this photo, if you have drawings that are more acurrate, I'd like to make them.

it looks pretty good actually what's the polycount (with triangulation)?
the answerr as to how many polys is: as little as possible, but without compromising model quality too much.
Things that wouldn't be easily seen (like the inside of the pot) could be simplified (we don't need the full inside of the pot, a simple low face short cylinder wouldll do)

Man, good to see your mod back again. I can help out, I can do basic and a bit of advanced stuff in coding, but you're probably not looking for that. I can reskin pretty good, can't voice act, cause I am and have a child's voice <.<

Anyway, I can beta test =P

hey Nethros

I might need some help with advanced coding if you're interested and about skinning we need heavy help with that (I pretty much suck there) so what would you rather do?
skinning? beta testing? coding? all three?

you might also be interested in helping out with the damage model experiment from Ron Losey, if you are, contact him and he'll send you the necessary files

It is 700 triangles, I think I can reduce it to 600 by sinking the OLLA (english?) into the mud.

As I said, I don't know too much advanced coding, but I'm willing to help out with what I can. Also, here's an example of a reskin I've done. It's made for the Source engine, so it might be different a bit, but I don't think it seems to.

Before:

After:

The woman on the right is also reskinned, but I haven't looked for a "Before" of her yet.

I've never actually skinned before, only reskinned, so you should keep that in mind. Anyway, I'm up for Beta Testing, and depending on what needs to be coded and skinned =D

I've heard somewhere that it is needed to make the triangles singlesided for games. I don't know how to do this, could someone tell me (I am using blender).

Also, do you wnat me to send you the model?

sure send it
well I don't know how to make that in blender, but if you can export models to obj format, there should be a checkbox or something for triangulation, that should do the trick
