Help: need help with replacing all troops

I want to replace all existing native troops and expand upon the trees for a mod I am making... the only problems are...

1) *Problem Fixed*

2) How does the unit tier section work? I want to replace all native troops but dont know what to put in here...

3) When i did go around and tried to change all the old troop references to the new troops.... it screwed up... I couldnt recruit any units from villages and I couldnt encounter any deserters or spawn any bandits

4) is there an effective way to replace units? because whenever I try by adding/repacing units. it keeps whining about (I) the old troop names in about 469 different files and locations and (II) troop ID numbers

I had the same problem until I changed the troops names in party templates and everywhere else that their mentioned.
