[ORIGINAL POST]

The Craftmod CEP has gone through a complete redesign and is now available on M&B 0.960. You can find the download here:

This version (1.8.3) should be bug-free. Please make a detailed report of anything you see that doesn't work or look right.

I expected a lot from the new Craftmod but I was badly disappointed. First, I've been playing for something like six hours and I still haven't found a fucking appropriate pickaxe for mining or an axe for woodcutting. Secondly, you can visit the smithies or tanneries or whatevers only once, after that you can only trade with the merchants there. Thirdly, i think there should be a lot more mines and timber groves, it takes a goddamn whole day to travel to one from a not-so-good starting position. At least the update fixed the messed mine shafts and timber groves but I'm extremely angry.

Awaiting for another update, don't disappoint me this time.

I am serious. The old craftmod was way better than this and I was a huge fan of it. I'm not placing demands on this one, but telling my opinion and that the current version is actually a downgrade of the 0.808 version and I don't want it to be that. I want craftmod progress to be upwards, forward and positive so I can enjoy it even more. That being said, there are a lot of positive improvements I've found and I'm sure I haven't discovered them all yet. But the three problems I listed before make craftmod go in the wrong direction.

Btw, WHAT is the appropriate axe for woodcutting?

I think it is because scab_falchion mesh does not exist.
At least it isn't in the .brf files under CommonRes folder.
It is possible that the scab_falchion mesh is included but named differently...
Anyway, change this line "itm_falchion Falchion Falchion 3  falchion 0  scab_falchion 3458764513820540928  damas_falchion 65536  4259842 9223388529822793742 105 24596 2.500000 100 0 0 0 8 27648 96 0 73 0 256 27" to "itm_falchion Falchion Falchion 2  damas_falchion 65536  4259842 9223388529822793742 105 24596 2.500000 100 0 0 0 8 27648 96 0 73 0 256 27" should solve the problem, I think.

try that:

open item kinds
go to

itm_falchion Falchion Falchion 3  falchion 0  scab_falchion 3458764513820540928  damas_falchion 65536 ...

edit it like that:

itm_falchion Falchion Falchion 3  falchion 0  scab_longsw_a 3458764513820540928  damas_falchion 65536 ...

game will use th longsword scabbard which works for me, doesnt crash anymore!

If you get a CTD while loading, it is probably caused by the spacing between "Falchion 2" and "damas_falchion".
Then it should be Okay.

But anyway, the problem is solved already.

hey great bug free but was wondering how do i give stuff to my retainers i have a lvl 11 retainer and have a batch load of helmets, armour shiled and bows and arrows and i try to give him stuff but instead my guy just says never mind do u think it wiud be possbile to treat retainers like heroes and so all you have to do would be to drop and place weapons instead of waiting for them to accept it, some reason all i can give him is woolen caps and nomad armour but no weapons or shileds so no my guys running around with a knife on foot :'(

hey found a slight bug :'( only small though but retainers dont retain there weapons or armor that you give them once you save and exit so for example i gave my guys a batch of irons swords ( why do i have to give one guy five just so he can have a sword armed ?????? but anyway) and then i fight a few battles quite then exit minutes later come back on and guesse what there weapons have rest to there originals, just a knife trouser blots arrows etc ???????? bit annoying since it took me ages to make them weapons but what ya gonna do ill just stick to the normal mercs saves the hassle was thinking reltaing to my last post when you knight someone do you think it could trun them into a hereo so instead of having to give him five swords all ill have to do would be go to my inventory and place a sword into theirs like what we have to do with heroes much easier and less hassle but loving the idea of retainers though but it is slightly flawd

Yeah weapons dissappearing for retainers... also you cannot give horses to them or do every horse have to be lame,stubborn etc.

also regarding retainers i found a slight duplication glitch where if you give them a batch of an item then decide to take it back it doesnt fully take it away fromt ehm instead you continually recieve the item like i recieved 25 bags of spices making 10,000 dinaris in less than 5 mins  :shock: :shock:

Shame to admit, but I did not quite smart thing, and need a little help.
Just downloaded new version of Craftmod, and installed it. Few minutes later installed Cries of War 1.2 soundpack, and next few minutes later discovered that every blackpowder weapon sounds like a crossbow. Then I realised that overwriting sounds.txt was not the brightest idea. I presume that increasing number of sounds by one and adding a line ' cannon.wav <something like item number>' would correct that. I just need number which tells the game to play cannon.wav when shooting blackpowder weapons. Is it so simple or I messed something else?

It's been mentioned in the Taleworlds forum and you saw it, but thought I'd throw it in here: c++ CTD when trading with blacksmiths.  when it happens, it seems to happen with every blacksmith.  Any details on this one that will help us avoid it?

First of all, hello to everyone.

I'm trying to create a musket in smithy using musket stock, musket barrel, matchclock and ratchet(I don't know if the last one's necesarry, but...) but the game says I don't have proper materials. Is it me or what?

If so, please give me the complete list of materials needed to craft this item.

Check if you use the right version of Mount&Blade, you need 0.960.
