Great looking mod! I'm really looking foreward to get to play it :) Thing is.. I will only be able to play it on my mac, so i was wandering will that be possible any time soon?

They have changed the way GLSL shaders work in the latest engine version for Linux and Mac OS X. Now apart from the GLSLShaders folder there's also a GLSLShadersOptimized, which basically boils down to a folder containing preprocessed fragment and vertex programs (this time for direct BRF shader references instead of HLSL techniques) filtered by what looks like GLSLOptimizer output.

It makes my job much muddier. And as of now, I had managed to rewrite the most basic shaders Marco Tarini did in HLSL and get them displaying beautifully.
With this change neither Linux and Mac OS X launch okay anymore (they show black screens) until you copy the GLSLShadersOptimized folder from the common directory in the game's root. Then the vanilla shaders look okay, but all the custom techniques in our mod look pretty glitchy, I don't know if you could call it playable.

On the other hand these preprocessed shaders load blazingly faster than the older ones, so props to TaleWorlds.
I remember having to wait 5 minutes staring at a black freezed screen every time I wanted to launch TLD in Linux.

So this is technically a good move. Even if makes my work way harder.

Alright everyone, I've been away for quite a while, but I've gotten a new PC that im probably going to be using from now on, so I can get on TLD programming again. My old laptop bit the dust after hanging by a thread for about 2 years. I've got a lot of stuff to prepare for returning to college, but for the first couple of weeks I'll be playing TLD and fixing bugs hopefully.

Duha's troop tree seems to have been taken down so it might be a good idea to remove that.

I think I fixed #2  through trial and error.  This at least fixed a recurring issue I was having on the scene I had the error every time I reloaded.  I am not capable enough to say I actually fixed it for every instance, but so far so good.

I rarely use them in Warband since they went from OP in M&B to "meh" in WB.  If you need them you can simply cut and paste the fixed ones from the trello link, you don't need a new game.

These changes looked a lot like I wanted to change and had been so I tried them.

Two issues with it and the warband version.

1 - Capture for elves just doesn't work.  The troop editor has them as capture but they still don't show up after a battle. 

2 - incorrect mesh prefix for meta meash copy: L and incorrect mesh prefix for meta meash copy: R  errors in some fights.  It doesn't stop the fight, it knocks you out until you hit ok, multiple times.

I recently learned this was ported for Warband and gave it another whirl, being its the best mod for M&B even if the engine wasn't quite up for it.

I vaguely remember this issue form when TLD was released, but the orc "bonus troops" suddenly stopped working for my numenorian.  I went to replace orcs and my max was 60/55.. as I disbanded the number kept going down until it was the normal amount for my character 44, and wouldn't go back up.  I had to disband all my troops to get it back up to "orc max" of 72.  This is a pita being I lost all my trained troops.  Is there a way around this issue or a way to prevent it from happening?   The only thing semi-interesting I did prior to seeing this was defeat an orc rebellion. 

Edit: Ok apparently warg riders don't count as orcs but as regular troops when it comes to numbers and bonus.  I assume this is a balance issue.
