I doubt anyone would give us much of a bounty on his head.

FYI...My head is worth its weight in carrots!

There will be no dropping of heads.

Oh come on.
Half a head then.
Or a very small head.

I made several variations of the monk robe.
One is specific by showing some armour under the robe.
I'd appreciate it if that one's armour values would be upped, for the heavy-armour wearing monk.

I think it's a great idea, useful to prove your kills for some missions by collecting heads.
Sick, but great.

I know.

But Legolas would have survived even if he fought naked and armed only with a spoon.

That's simple.

In the books, there's no Elves besides Legolas at the battle of Helm's Deep.
So if PJ deviated the start of the battle, by adding a company of them, he couldn't deviate the end of the battle, to have some left alive.
So none were left alive. If they weren't killed by Saruman's forces, they committed seppuku in the final stages of the battle, to stay aligned with their role in the plot.

Well, I've tried just about anything to get that Aioi sword, but it's no use.
I bring him the stuff, he says "return in X days", I return a day before, on the day, a day after, and the swordsmith is just a regular store, my quest list however still says "return to Aioy in x days".

If I go to Nose in between to talk to the swordsman, the quest is reset and the Aioi swordsmith asks me to bring him the stuff again.

Frustrating. Please remove this quest entirely until it can be made to work properly and let us recruit the swordsman some other way.

Well, I'd suggest then to drop this quest and just have the man ask you for a top-notch regular sword. Something like a balanced long tachi...

zjhann: yamabushi will always be a free troop. As for its upkeep cost, that's determined by the game engine. Modders have no control over that. As for duelists, yes, a rare few may drop some rare item, or will join you. We really hadn't developed them that much beyond the Eight Schools concept. These are good ideas. Keep 'em coming.

Ron: check your e-mail

Triglav: I am seriously considering dropping all the 'sheathed' animations for the time being, since right they're all naked weapons anyhow. It's a nice idea, and looks great, but doesn't add to the functionality of the game at the moment.

No, no, don't drop the sheathed anim. It's great to have it. I love to see a bunch of samurai galopping with swords on their belt. Besides 808 supports scabbards as well, so eventually you can add those properly too. Just adjust for extra size weapons to be on the back. No dachi and axes should fit in that category.

Oh and Duelists still don't work for me. I hunt one down on the strat map, try to get into something, but noting happens. My icon and his icon just blink for a sec then nothing further...

Here's two more "bugs":

Masaraki axe and No Dachi long sword should be worn on the back, but instead they both appear on the hip.

Some bugs I encountered:

1. Duelist crashes game.

2. Sword in Aioi wasn't there for me after 5 days. In fact the smith actd as if nothing happened and asked me for the goods all over again.

3. Sometimes when you have to deliver a message the recepient won't receive it. Gives no option for it in conversation.

Well, I don't really have time recently to do any serious modding, and even when I did, I didn't know the first thing on editing the game stats...I am a model & texture guy really.

I can agree that the stat rebalancing Ron did for Onin no ran made it much more enjoyable for me personally.

In a nutshell: any contact with the business side of a weapon is quite deadly.
Even lowest tier units can kick your ass with three good hits (doesn't take a super-sword to kill you, three good whacks to the forhead with a broom-handle will doo the trick just the same). One, max two arrows will get you more human porcupines.
On the other hand, the value and price of armour is increased (hit a guy in a shirt with a broom-handle and he'll hurt, hit a guy in footbal-gear and he'll laugh at you).
Tactically this makes you avoid getting hit more, while helping you take out enemies with single blows if good contact is made.

Battles are shorter and fiercer this way, and in game you struggle more to get better armour, overall, it increased the gameplay fun for me. I recommend.
