Minor Mods / Re: Reallistic Combat Model for Native

Did you ever get that formula?

Also, curious if there is an RCM for Native Expansion? Or if there is a list of mods that use RCM that I could try?

Thanks for your answers  Surreal.
I got one thing about throwing weapons. I noticed they are limited in number and still quite expensive (always the monie ;))

Can you recover the javelins thrown on the ground during the battle ?
Do you recover them automatically after a battle?

Arrows and throwing weapons automatically re-fill after battle. You can even refill them during battle by getting back to your baggage.

Also, regarding starting equipment, I noticed a few odd things. When you create your character, there are messages indicating you got what I would call reasonable starting equipment - but most of it doesnt actually show up on your character once you start the game. This might be a bug?

Also, at least for a Rivendell Elf's body armour, it looks like for some reason this is a special item, with the same name as a normal piece of armour but the stats are far inferior. Possibly because RCM fixed the normal one but missed the special starter item? But why have a special item for it in the first place, that I do not understand.

As-is it still actually seems more balanced than before, but I agree there are still a lot of little things that need to be fixed up. Is someone working on this officially? I would be happy to help.

I can't load my save?! Is that TLD or M&B bug or error? I've played Mordor fo a looooong time and have 16 rank. Please don't tell me that I've lost my hero...

Save files can be corrupted. Bit me once - not with TLD. Hope you have another save.

Saw something odd in rohan, near Adburg sp?  (Rohan's older capital city) but closer to the main river (anduin sp?) I found a few rohan parties, a caravan and a host and maybe some others with their feet moving in place and not moving.... no idea why, they are not in the water or even on the edge, on normal looking grass.

Pathing bugs, there are a lot of them if you start looking they are all over. I think someone said it would be fixed next patch.

They mean that when there is a battle of ten-to-one in evil's favour, it isn't, "OMG, Elves are awesome and epic level, lol, All Orcs Must Die!", instead, the good ones are something more like, "Well.... we're ******. For Gondor!!".

Agree with this.

I do see your point that the totalled armies of the two sides, the evil outnumbers the good. Good troops are meant to be generally better, and I think generally Good Commanders are meant to be brighter than the Evil Commanders (this would be a definitive factor)? Since the Good was usually on the defensive, they might also have the advantages of terrain (especially if the orcs don't know much about the terrain they're going to invade).

Haven't read the books closely enough to say exactly how things went generally, outside the main battles.

I dont think the good commanders in general were brighter than the evil ones - if anything perhaps a bit of the opposite, as sometimes the 'good' commanders (particularly southron humans)  werent all that bright at all. For the most part the story follows the fellowship but I definitely got the impression the Orcs were clever if not truly smart, very cunning at the very least. I seem to recall there was some mention of them ambushing heavy Gondorian troops and slaughtering them on occasion.

That's a different issue from characterising the troops though - for the most part in the book and the mod, the light side troops are stronger individually, but the dark side troops are still vicious scary things and they swarm in incredible numbers.

ppen quite a bit though. After some testing I couldn't find a procedure to avoid it once it was set to happen after I had saved. It doesn't always happen though; and it might just be me but it seemed to me it usually happened after I had already transferred troops to a garrison within a short period of time of doing it a second time. In my example I was reinforcing the Emnets in Rohan as they seem to fall quickly and there is a companion in one besides.

Happens to me all the time, and I can say for sure that you dont have to have transferred troops to that location before for it to hit you. The first time I saw it was the very first time I tried to transfer troops.

It doesnt always happen though, as you said if it happens once reloading and trying again always seems to get the same result. But sometimes I transfer and there is no problem.

As for the being mounted problem, it affects me both when going to marketplace (which isn't a bug, I understand) and approaching town.

I got this same problem when I installed the RCM files and loaded a saved game from before. I didnt experience it anymore when I started a new game, however.
