I would love to see something that addresses the warg problem in the latest release(es). The OP on this thread summed up a lot of the problems:
http://mbx.streetofeyes.com/index.php?topic=2823.0But I'd add that they completely screw up the AI Lord behavior, or so it seems. A large cavalry wedge will just kinda stop and get chopped up by infantry for no reason except perhaps there's a warg in there. You can do a lot if you're in control, but large battles often have people with a little more status leading their troops. More importantly, someone appears to have broke things further in the last release because the wargs effectively have 9 lives. The 'ghost riders' are getting killed by the AI somehow and every time it happens, a 'new' warg is spawned.
The riderless warg is a cool idea with an innovative implementation that just doesn't work in the M&B environment. It's not "OP," it's just not working. Since it looks like it won't be addressed by dev, I wonder if anyone knows a way around the problems. Ideally at this point I'd like to just horsify them and do away with the ghost riders altogether (that's how annoying it has become) but maybe really nerfing the ghost wargs might be an improvement...
