The Last Days / Re: TLD 3.3 - Bug Reports
« on: March 17, 2017, 09:08:50 am »
Hi everybody (so much time since I wrote here  :green: )

I've found some problems playing TLD on Warband:

- Galadriel seems to have warrior of Rohan inside her (hem..)

- Errors when you try to enter in Osghiliath prison

- Errors when you're inside Moria and try to read the book near the dwarf skeleton (and the name is wrong, I read "Door to the Castle).

Don't worry, sometimes "love" and "wait" are similar words.
I love this mod, so I'll wait for it.

Hhahaha good one indeed

Well, that's good, but I'm still waiting for the next release of the whole "bunch", and yes, I say that 'cause I hope to see this mod moving forward  :P

I'm really glad to see that something keep move, thx a lot  :D

had a minor issue, got a virus, had to reformat/wipe my hard drive, downloading and reinstalling software, again... :P

No pain, no gain....  :P

I can not play TLD under current conditions.
I have to hibernate this experience until I will see back to life.  :'(

Very nice stuff man.

But...try playing with unit names turned off. I'm sure you can tell an orc from an elf without the title :p

And walk aroudn the pretty scenes and towns more. TLD isn't just about shop menu-quest giver-battle-back to shop. It's about roleplaying in Middle Earth. You got people to talk to, walkers tell you stuff (cause you never talk to them, you never found out the Fangorn's secrets), you've got training halls, you've got caves to explore, forests, epic locations, etc. Would be a shame to not let viewers see all that.

I agree.
Especially in TLD visit the towns and places played so magnificent should be a duty.

I managed to complete the game by winning the war.
However, in this version (3.23) there are new and old bugs:

- The quests do not expire, the days data available to complete them do not pass.
Fixed this before my laptop went kaput.

Guess that, but it was "on the list"  ;)

- The menu of the cities of Gondor are all related to Minas Tirith, the background image is that of the city where I am (eg Pelargir) but with the menu items of the white city. For the same reason, also the smith and the warehouse are the same, with the same things and the same level of resources.
Could be because the patch that added some spider changes pushed the background images down. A new game should fix that.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it was on a new game.... I'll check that after a new clean installation of... everything.

- Some parties remain stuck in the ford of a river.
Screenshots help. :)

Yes, I know i know....  :)

- The quest of the spy is not complete, the spy reaches the destination, but never meet with his contact.
Will investigate this when I can.

Weeks waiting in front of Morannon...  ::)

- The quest to eliminate the trolls is difficult to carry out because they never stop, if you have a party of 60 warriors you can never reach them.
I tried tweaking this before by giving trolls a very low party morale, but I guess it didn't help much.

Don't worry, although I feel that TLD is a kind of miracle, I know you can not ask the impossible.

- Grimbold of Rohan gave me a quest where I had to eliminate 6 parties supply of Isengard, but the quest does not disappear even if Isengard was defeated and destroyed.
again, I was working on a way to resolve these problems  but my laptop had other ideas. :P

believe me, of course I wish you had a computer on which your can work on TLD, but humanly speaking I'm sorry for the crash.

- Even now, if you win a siege you don't came back to the map and you can choose to attack again, but the battlefield is deserted.
- In some camps the siege positions spawn is wrong with enemies who are stuck behind a fence or invisible walls.
Will try to fix it when I can.

One suggestion, it would be fair that our comrades missing after a lost battle may be found in their advanced camps, rather than at the source (if I lose a battle in front of Umbar is not fun having to go back up to Tranduil Halls to resume Luevanna).
Good suggestion, will be taken into consideration.

I would like to see the Gates of Moria scene exploration with more things and an objective to achieve, right now it seem incomplete.
So would we. :)

Again, thx so much to you, Triglav, Getassista, Merlkir and the other guys.
This creation has something magic inside, I can't really explain that, but thx.

What about Nazgul ? If they are on the battle filed and hit someone (and our character of course) it will result with a periodic loss of energy, uh ?
Currently, all they can do is either wound or kill troops.

Yes, but they're invisible.
I would like to see them, on a horse or on feet, using their swords to smash enemies like Sauron just before the fight against Isildur, with the power of a troll!

Thx a lot!
I'll try it.  ;)

It's not a matter of data lost, rather of the fact Cpp doesn't have a computer to code on. ;)

still, a matter of cost. And still, I`m willing to contribute according to my modest means.

A "Donate" button might be of use.

Rgds, Oldtimer

I agree.
I don't think you've ever really realized how much your work is estimated.....

This hurts seriously ...  :(

The Last Days / Re: How to (kind of) reactivate player sieges
« on: March 20, 2013, 01:29:28 am »
I'm playing a new game with version 3.23, so I apologize if I write about things already in place.
I think it's fair to allow our character to choose whether or not to besiege an enemy settlement, no matter if I go to the attack with 50 men against 800, I want to commit suicide? My business.

It would also be right that the Lord of our faction gave us more attention, and follow us when we attack an enemy outpost or structure, as they do when we launch the attack of an army in the open field (in this case, if there isn't an excessive disparity of forces against us).

I confirm that now is much better!
Well done again.
At this moment I have no time to thoroughly test this release, but I will do tonight when I get back from work.
Thx !

After a game session I can say that this version is much better, from the looking side.
Sieges are a slomo situation, yet, but I think that there's no much to do with it, until I'll get a better pc.
