When i found this, i was like "THANK YOU GOD!", and now gonna play the old version. But i'm really intrested in testing the version for Warband! :3

There is an abundance of ASoIaF/GOT based mods available on the TW forums, but I don't think one of them comes close to the greatness of the old mod for the .903 beta.

fair enough, but if your the son of an exiled lord will you be able to reclaim your familys seat at some later stage of gameplay if you so choose? and whichever one of the faction leaders exiled your noble father should bear some mistrust to you, i know its important to first get the scripting and textures and scenes and all that done for now but westeros isnt a forgive and forget kind of place and it would be awesome if your choices in the beginning have a significant impact on the gameplay (i.e how npcs react and everything) although will that flood of data make the game unreasonably large?

The latest version for .903 did it nicely... You could choose that you are Ironborn, and Ironborn raiding parties would not attack you, and you started out with superior equipment, but all the factions were hostile towards you... I think the main choice in this version would be westerosi/foreigner and noble/commoner.

I want to help in any shape way or form possible! while i have 0 modding experience i've begun reading up on the subject. im a good artist so at the very least i could do some conceptual art for menu screens? going to read up heavily on scening and textures and cartography for the game. i realise that a noob modder probably isnt the most welcome addition to an undertaking as massive as westeros as i will self admittadley hinder rather than help but ill post up screens of what i come up with and you guys can e-mail me if you would like to use them.

probably off topic here but will there be any chance of riding a dragon into battle when the finished product comes out?
on a more realisable subject, will there be any implementation of the free companies for hire in your armies? the golden company, second sons, the windblown etc? depending on how difficult it will be to raise a sufficient number of men to challenge power in the realm, seeing as how they are important in this regard in the books it could be cool to have some..

finally, will there be a godswood in Winterfell I want to swear my oath in front of a heart tree

This mod takes place at the beginning of the War of the Five kings, so no dragons, sorry. Even if it took place post-adwd I still doubt we could make that

All of these companies are not operating in Westeros... we're sticking with regular mercs for now.

Don't know about the godswood. If we got someone to make us a heart-tree model, it would definitely be epic to have one

There is a pre-beta version up for download somewhere in the TW discussion, but we've made a lot of progress since its release. We now have a scripter and the most important models have been taken care of, as have some scenes, so we're in a lot better position then we were, say, three months ago.

If you want to play the mod badly, here's my reccomendation - download the .903 beta version of M&B (it's got uglier graphics and is not quite as worked out as Warband, but fine otherwise) I think it's free to play since it's an old beta version. Then download the ASOIAF mod for that version - http://mbx.streetofeyes.com/index.php/topic,1257.0.html. It should work fine, and it was pretty damn epic for me, it even has Valyrian steel weapons . Some of my finest hours of M&B were spent playing that old module

Just posting here to inform anyone that might be reading this that the mod is NOT DEAD, we have only stopped using this thread so often, and started using the one on the TW forums instead (http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?topic=112095.new#new).

Unfortunatly, I cant work on this mod. In the following weeks I have a lot of exams and I simply dont have the time to try screwing with the python. Im really sorry but unless you try to finish the mod AFTER New Year I cant help you     sorry
