@ Cynan. Lets not forget that orcs are not so fussy about eating each other. The are most likely killing each other inn brawls at a blistering pace. And given there population, id say they breed pretty quick.... which while helping answer your question to some degree, opens another. in such a dog eat dog "society", use that term Very loosely, only the strongest and smartest survive. Orcs should be frightfully cunning and vicious fighters if one follows Darwins law.

The Last Days / Re: TLD 3.1 - Bug Reports

hmm, strange. see the soundtrack problem is related to VRAM. those with weaker systems will usually have crash issues when the soundtrack and other things chew all the memory. the corrupt save game however is not related to that, i will mention however that perhaps lowering the maximum parties will reduce your chances of corrupt saves. Can't remember where but i think it was narrowed down to scouting parties that caused the save game corruption. hence the advice to save in town.

In the end i think its just M&B engine dying in the ass. TLD has pretty much pushed it to the limits.

The  music is not your problem but rather the realistic saves. it is best to save your game within a town, or a scene. not on map. bad news is your save game is most likely gone. good news is you know what to do the next game.  don't use realistic saving 8)

Khergit Kabob!...Take a deep breath man. It seem highly likely that the feature is not working as intended, thus a bug of sorts.

Cppcoder is away at the moment so when he returns we will have some sort of answer, i am not a coder, nor do i have time to play ATM. So i know nothing about the patches workings, its almost Christmas, it IS the holidays, so folk are busy.

if it is screwing your game that bad, ctr-f4 will do till it's fixed.
It actually doesn't help with wargs and animals. ;)

Really, hot damn didn't know that, Khergit....your screwed hahah

The Last Days / Re: TLD SOUNDTRACK THREAD
« on: December 15, 2012, 03:09:09 PM »
The new tracks are all in the lower quality settings as it was pretty clear music had a hand in game crashing.

However i may release an OST in higher then original quality for anyone who wants it.

Since i had a bit of time up my sleeve before final patch, i have made music for some Gondor Fiefs just to vary it up a bit, since Gondor has by far the most settlements, the same settlement music repeats x10 more often for them.

Thus Black Root Vale (Erech) - Lossarnach - Pinnath Gelin -  Hennath Annun - Dol Amroth and Osgiliath have their own settlement music, nothing special, just standard town tracks  to mix it up a bit.

And a Bonus Gondor Battle Track has been added for kicks. I gathered brass players from all Gondor Fiefs for one big Agro Blow-off.

Thanks Arkerless

Yep, a known issue that is annoying. Refreshing the window gets rid of the download popup also. THe best way i found was to go to profile and change the download option from popup to new window. The problem comes about because sometimes the little 'x' close button doesn't show up in top right corner.

The Last Days / TLD at the NEXUS
« on: March 02, 2012, 10:03:00 PM »
Just in case anyone isn't aware, TLD is now available at the NEXUS, along with everything Mount&Blade under the new merger. Hopefully we will have more fans who may not have heard of the mod, or even M&B. and with a little more luck, perhaps some of the very talented modders from the nexus may decide to try there hand at M&B, or even better, TLD!

Our thread can be found here  http://mountandblade.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=3569

And remember to Vote and Endorse when visiting there!

If you already have downloaded everything but wish to Vote & Endorse your beloved TLD, then simply download the hotfix and vote away. We are in the prosses of having our TRUE download count added to the Nexus thread, by bringing all TLD versions under one roof.

NOTE: you can only Endorse a file after an hour from downloading.

Thanks all

The decision to port anything will rest in the hands of a select few. Like this guy for MODDB for example.

Wasted 40 mins of my life trying to get this to work.
"copy mb.fxo , all five *.pp, the *.exe and the *.bik files to: M&B/ (overwriting)."
What .exe file? Why not just give the file names? Found all the other things and copied them across, IronLauncher.exe just plays the intro and then opens the M&B desktop menu, select TLD and it doesn't load! Poorly written manual with vague instructions.

When you feel competant enough to design a mod with a proper installation program let me know. I'm sure you can find a tutorial online somewhere. Be sure to read it carefully.

It doesn't really feel humiliating at all, just a bit of idle distraction from the working day. So you managed to re-skin some models on a third-rate RPG, well done!
The fact that this forum is full of people asking for help and you just saying 'LOLZ RTFM n00bz!' might suggest that perhaps the problem is with what you have produced?
Not everyone has the l33t haxxors skills it takes to replace an olde worlde font with a slightly different olde worlde font, and my initial post was in direct response to your constant backlash against people who just need some help.

Gee, just makes me want to start porting NOW!.... You may say, well that's one monkey, and you'd be right, but one monkey a day keeps the will power away.

Gaxleep

if you have converted all music to .wav, you can do 1 of two things.

1- open your music.txt file with notepad and change  .mp3 to .wav on every track that has it. so long as the titles are exactly the same, everything should work fine. dont touch the numbers after the tracks.

2- go to my music thread, download the music.txt that i posted, it has all mp3 changed to .wav already, simply. place it in your tld3.1 module and overwite.

cheers
