I have 4 different saves now, all of them sharing the same crash features:
1. Game crashes exactly at 00 minutes timeline.
2. Game also crashes when you try enter a settlement.
3. Triggers and simple triggers do not play a part, as I switched off all of them and still got a crash.
4. Battles do not play a part, as I have a save with no battles going and still a crash.

I'll continue looking into this

A minifix for 3.12 while waiting for the big patch. Fixes quest window crashes

1. Open strings.txt in Modules/TLD3.1 folder
2. Search for the "{reg1_(Apr)}". Should be in str_april_reg1_reg2 string
3. Replace it with "{reg1}_(Apr)"

Bladnir's TLD rebalanced (more up to date than RCM):

Combat Damage Model (RCM) - famous submod, designed to model combat more realistically in M&B. This is its version for TLD.

Companion recruitment with resource points instead of influence mini-mod - this submod changes companion recruitment to be priced in resource points instead of influence. Influence prices are very steep in current TLD version and companions are hard to recruit.

Before patching 3.1 I didn't have any problems but after applying the hotfix 2 Im consistently getting CTD after saving around day 20. I suspect it has something to do with the script and music changes you guys made to the hotfix.

Do those work for you? Should be compartible with whatever post-3.1 build ->
Here are a couple of test hotfixes to try and see if the music is to blame for the crashes:
1. A test hotfix that removes about 90 Megs (out of the total 250 Megs) of music. The removed tracks are mostly additional travel tracks that are very likely to be loaded when you travel around.
2. A test hotfix that removes all music (not the music files, but the references to the tracks, so the files are safe). A last ditch attempt to see if that helps with crashes. If this doesn't help, the music is not to blame.

Try these only if you have serious crash problems. First try the first one and see if it works for you - if it doesn't try the second one.

EDIT: Checked again with my older character, it seems that not only Celeborn, but all Haldir and Orophin is lacking armour also.
It happens when they are sitting in a city- I haven't checked if they can get it when out on campaign.

Updated RCM for TLD3.1. Looks ok to me, did not test it extensively, so reply here if any problems arise.
replace module.ini and item_kinds.txt in your MB/Modules/TLD folder with those from archive


Hiring requirements will be revised in the next patch.
Current influence costs are indeed too steep for most of companions (should be left for selected few, others should use resource points)

Although it won't play as epic in MB, so I'll see what I can do to make that siege slightly more than bridge standoff :)

Writing an excel macro to automatically import the items and convert numeric flags to readable text would have been easier. Just saying :).
Anyone up for it? I've discussed via pm about extracting using a program before but I'm unable to do it.
MV, I really don't see the need. I have an xls that outputs py, it needs minor stat updating and thats it.
For any txt needs there are loads of item editors available

Must be the first documented total victory ever, if Merlkir is correct (I was not around to track the progress).

I was always afraid that there can be some critical bug somewhere in the endgame that would make it impossible to go for total victory, glad it's not the case (yeah, yeah, The Grind qualifies as a bug to some extent)

Ideally though, I would definitely prefer to have the wargs to wander off and disappear like horses do maybe a couple of minutes after the rider gets killed.

Wargs will stay as is, cause they are meant to be skirmish troops first of all, not charging lancers (this is why not a single warg rider in game has any kind of spear).
Main point for us in TLD is and always will be to have a correct feeling from how troops are used on battlefield, not making this or that troop max effective from powerplayer's point of view.

We are thinking about additional penalties for losing warg mounts if you choose to dismount riders. Like - after battle half of your riderless wargs ran into the wild, and you are left with their riders on foot.
