Thanks! Good to know everything is still alive. The only other game to use nightly builds that I know if is the Freespace 2 SCP.

Is 3.3 currently playable on Warband? I was looking at reinstalling TLD, should I wait for the next update?

On the warband version, I'm getting a crash whenever i try to assist a Rohan war party against Isengard. I'm playing as Elves around day 40. I've tried taking my graphics as low as they can go, with a battle size of 10 so I know it's not my hardware being overloaded.

Edit: I'm going to try the warg fix, that may be the issue.

It seems to have resolved; I forfeited the quest and then took another one later, which gave me the option to turn in higher quality metals. Not sure what happened the first time round.

It's more to keep the game lore-friendly and make sieges more important events. It was a conscious design choice on the TLD team's part, and it helps preserve the image of LOTR.

Warband just has more to it. More animations, better graphics, etc.

In the Warband version, I was given quests to collect low-grade scrap metal and it won't let me turn in higher quality metal scraps. I recall that I was able to in previous versions, but I can't remember if it was due to a patch.

In large enough battles, I don't even need Looting to get oodles of scrap. My inventory is nearly full of the stuff, just waiting to be given out to questgivers.

Truth be told, I can't quite remember. I do know that the Bandit Fort no longer lets you recruit slavers, which were my go-to blunt units in the .808 TLD. Perhaps there are still faction neutral units like that, but I haven't found any yet.

Try recruiting units with blunt weapons and then use them to take prisoners. That's probably one of the most profitable combat tactics, though you can always run missions. Some missions give a lot of resource points for little effort, enough for you to recruit more soldiers.

I've been getting constant runtime errors after I finish combat. I'm using the Steam version of M&B and it doesn't matter if I make new characters or change who I fight. I've tried it with the hotfix, with the RCM and the Speed & Stability mod. This is frustrating because I've never had this problem in past playthroughs.

Don't use the Steam version? Come on, that's like one of the first pieces of advice we always give.

Agreed. But that's a big undertaking, and it sounds like progress on the mod has slowed.

Edit: Also, it is rather jarring how quickly armies recover. You put one 300-man horde down, and the next day it's back at full strength. Especially after the "Capture Enemy Lords" quest. It seems odd that an orc could escape from Caras Galadhon within a few hours of my delivering him there.

Hey, I was wondering if an update to the 3.23 was in production? I'm getting tired of grinding influence.

I'll wait for it to tick, then I'll edit it into this post.
Edit: I just got influence for my faction, Mirkwood Elves. I got the Oathkeeper in Rohan, so it must be dependent on your faction.

Also, increase the drop rate of low-grade metal. I got a quest to acquire 6 units of it for Caras Galadhon, and I only have four units.. It's been four in-game months, and I battle regularly.

It may be in the yet unreleased update, but the quartermasters should also accept better grade.

Edit 2: Oh, and another thing. It's really annoying how if an ally intercepts a specific enemy you need to kill (raiders, trolls, etc.) and you assist them to kill it, you don't get credit for it. I've failed every single troll kill mission I've been issued because some scout party of 7 goes a little bit faster than me. I'm having a hard time finishing the "Kill 4 Moria Raiders" because all of the raiders I see are tied up with my allies.

I popped over to Rohan and avenged one of their generals. That got me Oathkeeper. Thanks!
