This is my idea for a new mod.

WHERE ARE THE DRAGONS!!!!!!!!! Does Anybody know if there is a mod ready for version 1.011 that includes dragons? Comon, If you are going to make a realistic midieval game you have to put in at least one dragon. You could put him in some obscure cave in the corner of the land, occasionally terrorizing villiagers.

To be consistent with the realistic native gameplay, the dragons could be made to resemble Dinosaurs. (In the middle ages, the word "dinosaur" wasn't invented, they were called "Dragons.") Also, if this is done, there must be more INDOOR battle scenes. I. E. Caves, Dojos, Dungeons. etc. And the option to battle alone without your party. (an army doesnt fit well in a cave.) Or the option to take only the best handful.
A great story to be integrated into this idea would be this:
"Behemoths" (similar to Brontosauruses) are a herding, vegetarian, peaceful beasts which are diminishing in number day to day. The other creatures, Dragons, (similar to T-Rex and other meat eaters) such as Winged Dragons, Fire-breathers, and Sea-Serpents, are constantly preying upon the herding Behemoths, as well as an occasional villiage. This is where the warring armies come in. They decide to declare a war campaign on the Dragons to save the Behemoths and people, only to discover that the destruction of the predator causes the end of the prey as well. See, the Dragons only were preying on the behemoths that were infected with an unseen virus, and without that population control, the behemoths go extinct when the virus spreads wild. (possibly a virus in the people too?... oh no, another resident evil game!!!)

Ok, another thing, How about sorcerers? Even in reputable history books reports of real sorcerers are told from the middle ages. I don't want to see an all-out magic battle game, ( i think the mod is out already) just few and far between, realistically, an evil sorcerer who is hiding away, notorious and mysterious to the people. He would rely more on his lies, mind control and deceit to gain power, rather than magical force. (although he has to at least throw a fireball or disappear, of course) He should be harder to find than to fight. Then there could be magicians, the good version that can join your army (should also be scarce!).

The magic standard for video games I think has gotten a little off track. Mostly the goal is to show off graphics, (big explosions, bright colors, big lightning, sparks) rather than make it interesting and story-consistent. Mount and Blade is an excellent representation of historical midieval war, and I want to see that amplified, not tainted.

Another inclusion in this mod should be Giants! There have been many fossils found of 9+ foot tall human beings, there are countless folk tales of them, some of them say they were cannibals, some great warriors. Giants should be another occasional find in this "accurate" midieval war game.

YES! I think that is a good idea for a mod. I hope a developer sees it, since I just don't have time to design it myself, let alone play M & B!!!!

Dude ... we cannot yet do custom skeletons and animations.  We are limited to human forms and horses, for now.

Work is being done on the modding tools necessary for such additions, but it is far from ready.

So yes, we all thought of that.  But the technical ability to do so is much slower in coming.

Thanks for your transparency. I was trying to fathom the skill and time it must take for you guys to put together those forms. And then you have to make them move good! Then you have to make them LOOK good! Then they have to react to strikes and make strikes accurately!! Alot of work.

At least it is good to know that it is being worked on.
