I retextured the blue R2 unit's front:

(impelemented it in my game, looks a lot better than the unedited foto-texture)

It does, but you should perhaps work on a new R2-Series model. The existing looks way too fat. Just a sugggestion though, you might prefer to do somth else...

I thought the current R2 textures were really just a bit too photo-textured, with the shines and everything textured on to the model, so I gave it the original color (well, the front, I have no idea who made them, but that's the only side that looks like an R2, along with the "legs")

I'll make a new R2 model one of these days, new texture incl., along with a Zabrak texture (other than the Darth Maul one) and maybe I'll redo the B-1 model to make a BX series droid commando

Current status on the BX droid:

I don't think it's looking so good, so I probably won't finish it

in that case, I'll keep working on it Smiley

Edit: The current status: head and front torso are done, as well as the shoulders.
Next challenge are the arms and legs and then...
Well, then I'm finished  Green

Sorry I can't post screens atm, but I'm babysitting on my youngeer niece and nephuws for a couple of hours.
Model will probably be done by tonight.

Peralta! You my friend are a machine!!

Just out of interest do you only model droids and starships or do you span the genres? Smiley

Have fun with your nieces and nephews ^^

I think you are overrating my capabilities, to say the least...

I've been trying to learn how to model and texture for several months now, and the N-1, the R-8009 and this texture are the first ones that i really like Smiley

And no, it's not just droids and starfighters, it's everything easy enough I can get my hands on (and that can keep me interested long enough for me to finish the model/texture)

nah i don't think so! you seem to be churning out these models and as far as i can tell, from a non-modeller, they're pretty damn amazing!

and fair enough... maybe when you've honed your skills with droids you could do some weapons or armour or something *drools* (just thought i'd grab your talent before Revan Shan did Tongue)

but yeah amazing work... am loving the droid commander so far Grin

It's the BX Commando Droid Wink

Mostly seen in the Clone Wars animated series, and very effective with vibro blades, grenades, and well, everyhing they can get their hands on Smiley

And it's not entirely my model Wink

I believe Geroj made the B1 Battle Droid, and this one is just an adjusted evrsion of that standard model + other texture.

As far as I care, there are enough weapons ingame atm, so I don't feel very motivated to make even more Wink

Outfits, armour and scenes are more important now (and droids, of course)

I've never actually had a cup of coffee in my entire life! maybe i'm missing out? This is pure adrenalin, but then i have been waiting for like 4 years Tongue

Anyway, no promises is fine, it just makes the potential of anything you do deliver so much more exciting! gosh i want to bombard you with things i'd like you to make but i'd piss you off so much you'd probably shank me  Laugh

can't wait for the Commando droid  Cool!

BX Commando Droid progress

What other stuff?

Maybe I'll give it a try sometime soon.

PS: won't be done today, was underestimating the work that still had to be done Wink
PPS: any of the textures that look like they've been edited with a white spraycan tool are just render errors (I hope) Wink
