A couple of thoughts:
1. A bit too clean and one coloured. All the shades etc. are gone, it's just blue.
2. Why is the visor light blue?
3. It's good for a first Keep practicing, and experiment with photoshop tools.

Try using overlays and slight transparency effects when making retextures.

I use 'recolour' in Paint.NET, I don't know what's the GIMP equivalent.

thanks for your feedback well the reason that the visor is light blue is so it mimics the visors in  the STAR WARS: Republic Commando game. and i did but a bit ov black in the skirt and helm.(maybe add a bit more?). also i need to find a good looking Republican symbol. anything else?
