There are currently 6 bounty quests, so there are 6 types of bounty targets.  They are currently named:  CIS Officer, Farmer, Target, Pirate, Bountyhunter, and Smuggler.   I agree Target is a little vague, but I'm not sure I could do something like Villager since they might appear in towns, and the quest description didn't offer much else to use.   We can re-write the quest, but having it generic like this was helpful because I could then make some really different troops to use as targets for this quest instead of being limited to creating a smuggler, pirate, etc.

Yes. And it seems it's something special this time because there is no customer, and no why. The target you would have to eliminate is called {s4} and is now on {s3}. I've been told he is ready to face anything and the payment for this job is 300 credits.

The battle scene in Helska when saving the planet from bandits is always crashing to desktop several seconds into the fight, just as the enemies start appearing from behind the landing pad. The enemies are the Blazing Claw pirates. Starting the game with Ironlauncher. Tried with lowest video settings to no avail. I can send the save if it would help track down the problem.

That happened to me in the previous version. Ar you using the last one?

What the Crap!?!  When attacking with a melee weapon, I have to attack them from the side.  If I attack them head on, my character does no damage!

edit: removed the move tag (ie. marquees)

Not really a glitch, the vanilla Mount & Blade can have wonky hit detection/damage calculation at times, it's just something we all have to live with. I recommend using longer weapons to help increase your hit rate.

If you are too close when you make and overhead attack it is assumed by the game engine that you hit with your arms or the hilt or handle of your weapon and you do very little damage. For best results, step backwards as you make overhead hacks so as to make sure that you hit with the top of your weapon, where the force of the blow is the strongest. The same applies for sideways swings. Also, when doing sideways swings move in the direction you are swinging in to gain a speed bonus to damage.

And please, pretty please, don't use marquees. Don't use them when you post on the forums, when you make websites or simply when you think about websites. Forget that they exist, remove them from the Force and from the existence.

Hey there.

First of all: Great mod. Love it.  :D

Second of all: After large battles the game tends to shut itself down, before going into the troops/prisoners screen. Sometimes this also happens, while I'm in the said screen hiring troops from beaten opponents or taking prisoners. My guess is, that this is due to limitations on the variety of different troop or prisoner classes one can take on board. Is there any way to give some kind of in game message instead of these very annoying shut downs? Or can I do something to stop the game from shutting down?

My first run of 0.8.7, the first battle, started with Ironlauncher, the game CTDs while searching for bounty target behind the landing pad on Hoth Moon. I was on the starting speeder at the time.

The illegal weapons vendor's inventory causes CTD, so there is somth wrong with those items.

Beta 0.87

Stuck in Wall/Water some kind of structure on Planet Bogden.  I received a quest from a farmer in the cantina in Kashyyyek to help rid his village of bandits.  When I land on the planet to fight them, I first spawn stuck in some layer.  When I rotate the camera I see water, then sky, then inside of a structure and then it looks like I am standing on top of a wall.

Thanks.

EDIT: So after using the cheat Crtl+F4 to knock out all the enemies.  Once the fight was won, I choose the menu option to "Land on the Planet surface".  This option also returns you to a stuck position that I related above, so this issue can be recreated.

EDIT2: This issue was caused by my microbinoculars.  Once I hit the 'b' button twice my view returned to normal.
