Please post any bugs or issues here

Notes:
+ there is limited music included in the 0.8 release, this will hopefully be fixed in a later version
+ we are working on creating more LOD's and more efficient textures which should hopefully help with performance for future releases.
+ please post specific errors and/or screenshots.  Error messages may also be written to the rgl_log.txt so please check that as well.

Known bugs\limitations:
+ permanent war with Empire vs Rebel doesn't seem to work correctly for the 0.8 release.
+ there is an issue with the gender (he/she) in dialogs where some alien races may be referred to as a female.
+ "mercenary armor" may appear as all white, to fix it go to this link: http://forums.taleworlds.net/index.php/topic,40510.msg1653889.html#msg1653889
+ village recruitment doesn't work if you aren't part of one of the three main factions (Empire, Rebel, Hutt)
+ some equipment only fits or looks correct on certain models (ie. gamorrean and wookiee armor, clone helmet & boots, etc)
+ force kill has unlimited uses and the heavy weapons (flame rifle, rocket launcher, thermal detonators) are very powerful so they may imbalance gameplay if you use them
+ the "melee punch" weapon that lower-tier troops use makes the lightsaber sound (oops) this will be fixed in the next release

Posting some bug reports from the Taleworlds thread...

There's a bug in the ship upgrade menu for the Rebel Cruiser. If you max out any of the first 3 upgrades, then try to buy the upgrade 2 selections down from the maxed one, the upgrade is added to the maxed selection. So with enough credits you can get unlimited drive, scanner, and troop upgrades.

Clearer example: I upgrade Drives to 5. Then I try to upgrade troop capacity, but instead, Drives goes to 6. Continued attempts at trying to upgrade troop capacity results in further upgrades to Drive. Same thing for the Scanners/Combat Computer pair, and for the Troop Capacity/Medical Bay pair.

To fix the ship upgrade issue you just have to upgrade from the bottom upgrade up.

There's a quite big delay between "use" of a character and a dialogue start. Computer just hands for a few seconds. I don't know what is it, some code running on the background, a lot of variable to check or something else. I just wanted you to know in case you don't experience this.

I don't know about the other factions because I've just been hanging around Hutt space, but the Hutts don't give a damn about pirates, jawas, Tuskens and the like. They don't attack them, and the pirates don't run away from them. It's just odd...

the DC15a is waaay to small. You should make it as big as the DLT19.

On arena in tournament fights there's a "INVALID ITEM" weapon which is invisible and acts like a one-handed sword.

-the empire is fighting itself but i have only seen this happening with this patrol fleet of the empire..

I ran into a pretty serious bug. I'm not sure what caused this, but my character disappeared. As in, no long part of the party. I think it's because I got downed in a fight and selected one of my companions as leader, so I was playing as them. All well and good, except that I disappeared from the party roster, and was no longer able to select myself as leader.

I made some notes on a few bugs that cropped up while I was playing. They're not in any particular order, though I did try to reword them so that their legible.
  • The first time I played, all of the women were bald. This hasn't happened again. I have no idea what went wrong.
  • At the start, I received a message that the Alliance and the Galactic Empire were at war, but they aren't. The game log says they declared war, but the only wars going on are against the Hutt Cartel. Side note: The Hutts are kicking some serious butt. They're trashing both sides and have taken a ton of lords prisoner.
  • After saving a Rebel freighter from an enemy patrol, the captain said: "We are paroling the area for enemies. State your business!"
Similar bug: Aiding a fellow Imperial Officer caused him to threaten to arrest me. I suspect most (but definitely not all) of the "Thanks for saving me" lines are messed up. (I think this also knocked me out of capturing a rival lord, as he said the same thing to me.)
  • Pirates will aid their enemies in fights, though so far I've only seen them help patrols.
  • I keep hearing the lightsaber sound effect even when there are no lightsabers involved. Are there other weapons that use the same effect?
  • The reflections on the Mandalorian Beskar armor sometimes look very odd. I've noticed this in desert scenes and at night. The armor itself should probably be a lot more expensive, as it's incredibly good. Side note: Beskar helmets are invisible underneath.

Hopefully this will help you out. ^.^

Edit: Sad. The moment I make a post about it, the "aid you allies" conversation bug stops occurring. I don't know why, but exiting out and reloading fixed it (for now, at least).

I saw tusken raiders to help galactic empire to fight rebels. It could be cool to treat this situation as "hired bandits help empire", but I think there's just a problem with minor faction alliances.

Okey so Yavin 4 need different siege scene because now it's using one where is castles. The lower part of the Defiler armour's rigging is little bit messed up when you attack with a sword. Transportation merchant still talks about horses. I think some of the transports should be positioned higher so the character wouldn't float. When you enter dungeon in some desert city (I don't remember the name) you can only get out of there using tab because the entry thing is messed up. It will lead you back to the same dungeon. All these are little problem's, otherwise great job :)

Hutt Palance Guards - should be Palace?
Vibro Knuckles state thrust and pierce - Thrust only.
Steppe Armour still available to buy - needs a rename or removing, although my knowledge of the SW universe is limited.
Mercenary Armour has no texture.

There're different "INVALID ITEM" when I look in scene in scene editor. Also often in arena you get old wooden training swords.

There's no "background surroundings area model" for desert: when I landed in desert it told me some error about rnd_scene_desert or something and border hills (where you can't go, they are just to limit field of view) were from grassland area, not desert.

When you challenge a lord in a duel some arenas put you both too close to each other, place "central 4 spawners" a bit further or you start the duel with a hit (no time to change weapon/make a step).

- Lands on the planet surface / When I fight on the desert, it'd give an RED error line of missing something. Not game breaking, though - I was able to finish the fight as usual.

Dueling a companion while in the loot screen will bug out the game. I wanted to see if the IG-88's gun that I looted had an ammo limit (since it doesn't show one). This caused some weird effects, such as the enemy lord I was fighting (Mara Jade) reappearing on the map (even though I had captured her). Capturing her again did not yield a second Mara Jade, sadly. Uh, not that I had plans for that or anything...
Side note: I won the duel, and my companion was reduced to 0% health as a result (despite the fact that it was a "friendly duel", and the fact that I have medical skills).

That happens in any mod that uses desert scenes.

Edit: Another bug - Scout troopers aren't using bikes. I checked with the troop editor, and I can't figure out why.

Not a bug. They start out on foot, then have the choice of becoming bikers or snipers. It would have been weird for them to start with bikes then ditch them for a rifle.

WOOKIE SHIELDS! Both the large and small Wookiee shields remain with untextured shields. A Wookiee who shields himself is essentially invisible himself, as the texture seems to show the background behind him. Note it's still just an LOD issue, as close up they're fine.

Ah, okay. I missed the "veteran" in the title.

You know, that could be used to make for a cool force power. You could call it "Mind Trick". The only downside is that the AI wouldn't be fooled by it without coding.
On a related note: I've noticed several NPCs in the cantinas that have an LOD problem with their hands. Chiss come to mind, although there are some others.
Edit: I tried out having a Chiss soldier in combat; the same problem occurs. Basically their hands look like they're wearing bright blue mittens.

I don't know, maybe I'm just stupid or something, but I had big problem with finding some planet administrators (on Naboo, as I can remember, but no sure of that)

Another one: Clone trooper helmet really hovers above his body

As of now, there should be a bottom side for the Imperial Royal guard helm model(and, of course, the shadow imperial guard, since it's just a re-skin).

EDIT:

Here's a pic

Did anyone see town walkers at Fondor?
When I created the scene they where there, but today I've been there and didn't see anyone besides the Planet Administrator.
Would be important to know, as I want to make some variations of that scene.

Press R to escape from first person view. You can only watch teammates from third person.

yeah, i was just there and i saw 'em.
also i have another bug: at fondor when you 'take a walk on the planet' (or whatever) that landing pad that you spawn at, if you go down the ramp and turn to the right and walk behind the landing platform until you hit the "leave area" line, keep following that and when you get to the landing pad you can walk right thru the wall and then jump and your on the landing pad!
it was fun to explore a little of fondor, but it should be fixed

So you saw the town walkers? that's great :)
I'll put a barrier there, so you won't be able to walk on the other platforms (I had to remove that option, 'cause the town walkers got stuck there).
Maybe some junk could do the job there. Too sad I already used the Speederbike-accident

There is a bug in the banner selection:
Under the banners there is text from the a menu you were in before. If you click it, all banners disappear and won't be back if you leave the menu and enter it again.
