Well, i think that all elven swords glow when there are orcs nearby.
It was ability that was said like: It glowed when there were orcs nearby, because it was elven sword or something like that.
That doesn't make sense if it was rare ability amongst elven swords.

read the books again, use the brain and you'll get the answer. I don't need to explain or prove anything really.

I read the books last week . 

Sting was not sword of anyone famous, who elf would use such little weapon in wars? And if it was not weapon of any lord or king, why it had this glow ability?
At the moment i don't have The Hobbit in my hand, so i can't see the dialogue when they found the weapons, but Elrond said about them that Orcrist and Glamdring
were famous swords, but he didn't say anything about Sting.

Sting was a knife...and I thnk a few warriors could have used knife, or not? 
Maybe there were more "magic" weapons in the first age but the elves we´re less in the third age and they weren´t as good in smithing as 2000 years before, and I think these weapons we´re the hardest to make.

My point is, that there could be more than a few glowing elven blades. I don't think that you're going to do anything i say, this is suggestions-thread, or did i read it wrong?

it's obvious i strayed from the Star Wars Conquest forum because the hostility levels of have risen by around 200%! Guys maybe we should chill out and let people share thier ideas in an environment where people don't need to argue?

You have no idea how much patience we've already expended on people asking "When is this going to be released" for the 4 millionth time, or telling us we should use movie armours in our mod, or stuff from other Tolkien-inspired games, or rationalizing what else we should put in game and how and not relenting when first told we're not planning that, and especially not searching whether their idea hasn't been suggested before...

Yes this is a suggestions thread, but from ages past (it was started 3 years ago), when TLD was still in its planning phase.
Now we have things pretty much developed, thought out, worked on by over a dozen people, some with serious Tolkien lore knowledge, and do not much fancy being told what we absolutely must have in the mod, or what would be so cool if we added.

We're making a mod according to our preferences and a mod we'll enjoy playing. We have reason to believe others will too, but they cannot expect us to cater to each and every taste...

i can honestly understand your frustration

Just from a complete outsiders perspective, my experience of taking a peak at this incredible mod was somewhat tarnished by the more aggressive comments but i now realise that they were probably needed and fair so i apologise

Can't wait to try this when it's released
