I used to play this then my hardrive died and then I had to redo everything etc. but now every time I try to play or start game it comes up with a error for vers. 2.4 say assertion error for the mouse can anyone help if I have disturbed you guys sorry.

Um... what specifically was the error message?  Exactly?

If it said something about the mouse, have you checked your mouse drivers?  Are you using some kind of nonstandard mouse?

I mean, some of us will try to help, but we're going to need a heck of a lot clearer information about the problem.

I have been playing mount&blade for a week now and never tried out teh mods and this one seems teh best, but I am getting kind of confused can I download it and where? Is it dead? I have the 1.03 version of M&B is that ba? and what is everyone waiting for? because I was looking through the threads and everyone was saying like i cant wait im bursting of anticapation or something like that. So can anyone help me please and thank you.

Current working version of TLD mod is for 808 version of M&B. Mod does not work for later versions. Will work for 1.003 in distant future

Yep, you'll have to install M&B .808 to play the current version, or you can wait for the port to 1.x, which will take a while. We're waiting for the official module system to do that.

Log on to what? Sorry I don't understand.

In any case, make sure you install .808 to a different directory, don't install it over 1.003.

Again sorry I am an Idiot what is a directory? and how would i go about fixing my promblem? It basically says assertation error after I click the start new game button

For anybody  else who has this problem, I'll just give a simple guide. Or you can click DaBlade's link.

For your first install of M&B ( No other versions installed )

Download M&B .808 -http://www.taleworlds.com/download/mountandblade_0808_setup.exe
Install it to the default directory.
Download TLD 2.4- http://www.mbrepository.com/modules/PDdownloads/singlefile.php?cid=7&lid=61
Extract it to X:/Program Files/Mount and Blade/Modules
Open M&B
Select TLD from the module menu.


With another version of M&B installed

Download . 808 from the link above
Install it to X:Program Files/Mount and Blade .808
Download TLD
Extract to  X:Program Files/Mount and Blade .808/Modules

Done! Run it and enjoy!

I've been trying to download this mod for a couple of days now, but unfortunately each time I try, the download fails at about 2.52 mb. Does anybody know how I might fix this?

hey...I haw a problem with 808 version of m&b when i pres new game when  it launch game it pop up error what says it cant find mouse cursor.
